Mrs. Urvi A. Piramal |

Mrs. Urvi A. Piramal has a Bachelor of Science degree from the Bombay University (1972) and attended the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School (1993).

Mrs. Piramal oversees a professionally managed business group in India and plays an important role in formulating and executing the Piramal group’s strategies. The group has interests inter alia in Textiles (Morarjee Mills), Real Estate (Peninsula Land Ltd), Retail (Crossroads and Piramyd), and Cutting Tools (Miranda Tools), Auto Electrical Components (PMP Components Ltd), Hard Ferrite (G.P. Electronics Ltd).
Some of the eminent positions held by Mrs. Urvi Piramal are:
- Member of Technology and Quality Improvement Committee of Indian Merchants’ Chamber (2004-2005)
- Committee Member of Award’s Sub-Committee of Indian Merchants Chambers

- Won the Outstanding Industrialist Award for the year 1994 presented by the Marinelines Junior Chamber
- Cheminor Award 1995 from the Indian Institute of Materials Management
Mrs. Piramal is committed to promoting quality within the Piramal group. As a member of the Technology and Quality Improvement Committee, she had helped in instituting the prestigious IMC-Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award.
Being a keen wildlifer herself, she has co-founded the Wildlife Conservation Trust during March 2002, which is dedicated to the protection of tigers and India’s wildlife.
Mrs. Piramal has also been the conscience keeper of the Piramal group, ensuring its commitment to society and the environment. She oversees projects on greening the environment, as well as children’s’ education and healthcare. |

Mr. Harshvardhan Piramal has completed his Bachelor of Science with specialisation in Physics from the Kings College London, U.K. followed by MBA with specialization in Finance & Strategy from the London Business School, U.K. |
Mr. Harshvardhan Piramal was appointed as Deputy Managing Director of the Company on June 1, 2004 and is currently designated as Executive Vice Chairman. He was associated with Piramal Enterprises Limited where he handled diverse projects and acquired experience in the areas of marketing, strategic planning, finance and project evaluation.
Mr. Harshvardhan Piramal has also been actively associated with various social projects. He is the Co-founder of the Indian Wildlife Conservation Trust. He is also an active sportsman and has won various awards in polo and soccer.

Mr. Mahesh S. Gupta has a Honours Degree in B.Com; L.L.B ( Gen)., F.C.A., F.C.S. He has an outstanding academic record-Rank Holder and a Silver Medalist in Company Secretaries Final examination.

Mr. Gupta has over 26 years of professional experience in all aspects of the finance function, including treasury, mergers & acquisitions, operational review, strategic planning, direct taxation and Co. Law matters, etc. Mr. Gupta has worked with ‘Piramal Group’ for over 17 years including last 9 years as Group CFO including Wholetime Director of Nicholas Piramal India Ltd., and also worked with RPG group as Group CFO and Management Board Member and as CEO-Welspun India Ltd. Mr. Gupta has been associated with a number of Professional Bodies and currently he is a member on various committees including Member Governing Council of Indian Association Corporate CFOs & Treasurers (InACT) & The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Mr. Gupta was awarded the CFO of the Year Award, Special Commendation for Financial Excellence ( Mergers & Acquisitions Category) by IMA (formerly known as EIU), New Delhi. Mr. Gupta is presently employed as Group Executive Director with ‘Piramal Group’ for their Realties, Textile, Retail & Engineering businesses.

Mr. P.K. Gothi is a graduate in engineering with a Gold Medal from the University of Roorkee. Mr. Gothi is the Managing Director of the Company since November 1, 1998. He has more than thirty one years experience in diversified industries.

After working in reputed companies like Hindustan Copper Ltd, Hindustan Electro-graphites and Carbon Corporation Limited, Mr. P.K. Gothi joined Piramal Enterprises as Executive Director of G.P. Electronics Limited. He then moved to Miranda Tools as Executive Director and later to the Corporate Office as President of Piramal Enterprises Ltd. He was the Managing Director of Peninsula Land Limited (formerly Morarjee Realties Limited) for over 4 years till the demerger of its textile business to form the Company. |

Mr. Takao Yajima is an Industrialist and owns Garments manufacturing unit in Japan, China and Indonesia. He is the President of Flex Company Limited, Japan Company and a Japanese National. He has wide experience in the international textile market.
Mr. Yajima is an engineering graduate (Aerospace division) from University of Tokyo.

He is the Director of Shah & Sanghi Group of Companies and manages the trading, manufacturing and investment operations of the entire Shah & Sanghi Group having a turnover of over Rs. 40,000 million.

Mr. Shailesh Haribhakti is a senior Chartered Accountant and the Managing Partner of Haribhakti & Co., and CEO of Haribhakti Group, having a presence of more than five decades in the areas of accounting, financial and management services in India. He has been with the Haribhakti Group since 1978.
Mr. Haribhakti has made vast contributions to the corporate world and society through various leadership roles. He served as the President of Indian Merchants Chamber for 2003-04 and as Chairman – Corporate Governance Committee of ASSOCHAM in 2001. He also served as ASSOCHAM Nominee on the J.R. Verma Committee on Sweat Equity, Employee Stock Option Plan & Privately Placed Equity and on the Naresh Chandra Committee on Corporate Governance.

Mr. Pradipta Mohapatra is the non-executive independent director of the Company. He is also on the Board of several reputed companies. He is also the president and CEO of technology businesses of RPG Group companies.
Mr. Pradipta Mohapatra is a chemical engineer and a management graduate from Jamnalal Bajaj and Harvard Business School. He is visiting faculty in a number of business schools in India and abroad. He also represents governing council in some of these business schools. He currently holds the co-chair of National Committee on higher and technical education for CII.
